TheraGardens teams up with Great Lakes Culinary Center
In spring of 2014 TheraGardens began an amazing quest alongside Great Lakes Culinary Center...to build an enormous organic culinary garden at their Southfield location. This garden will not only provide fresh, organic fruits and vegetables for the chefs to cook with, but also a venue for learning about gardening. This urban learning farm will be hosting classes to educate the community in healthy, sustainable foods, cooking, gardening, rain water harvesting and much more.
Carol, owner and master gardener here at TheraGardens, will be teaching these classes, contributing to the health and well-being of all who partake in these fruits of her labor.
Recently, Great Lakes Culinary Center and this farming endeavor were featured in the Detroit Free Press.
